Everton are about to end their striker and Thierno Barry of Villarreal expected to jump into Merseyside for treatment before completing the 27m pound plan.
The process is not yet complete, but the move is underway with manager David Moyes ready to plan Everton’s biggest summer plan to date.
Barry had a clause of £ 34.5m in his Villarreal contract, but Everton expects to pay a minimum fee for the 22 -year -old, who scored 11 goals and provided four assistants in 38 games last season when the Spanish club finished fifth in La Liga to qualify for the Champions League.
He will add Everton’s attacking resources after Dominic Calvert-Lewin left at the end of his contract.
Armando Broja also came out when his loan was over, and returned to Chelsea without the plan made permanent.
Barry was born in Lyon and left the 19 -year -old French club Sochaux to play in the second department of Belgium and Beveren.
The following season he moved to Switzerland Super League Club Basel, before joining Villarreal in August 2024 in a program worth £ 13m.
