SWPL: The ‘unavoidable’ champions will be goals – Adams

Hibs won 1-0 against Ranger last day last season claiming their first league title in 18 years.

Glasgow City and Celtic, who finished second and four, dominated, will have a header expectation at this time, such as the hearts of the city of Hibs.

However, Adams says the continuation of the Grant Scott squad will stand the best champions.

“I think it’s clear we have a similar squad, we haven’t brought many new chapters, which I think helps,” Adams said. “You don’t need it through that team to get to know each other.

“I think it’s about the kind of doing what we did last season. And obviously we have gained faith now, so many beliefs, given what we achieved last season, that we are enough to compete and why not do it anymore?”

Adams admits that he expects fierce competition this season, especially after the league is reduced from 12 to 10 teams.

“Every season seems to get more competitive, which is good,” he said. “But we know it’s a very difficult task and no one has done it really soon, to save the head.

“When I joined for the first time, there was a lot of gaps between the teams. But season for the season, it is just updated. And, as a player, as a viewer, is brilliant.

“I expect this season to be more competitive and more fun than last season.”
