Richardson apologized to Coleman and said, “I love him and I can’t apologize enough to him.”
When the recordings of the incident became public, Coleman Richardson described as “a man and a big person”.
Athletic said, “There is a lot of things going on, many emotions and forces that happen in it, which not only can’t understand, but no one can.”
After the arrest, the USA Track and Field said she was “aware of the reports” but “would not comment on this matter”.
Richardson won silver and gold at the 100m at the Paris Olympics as part of the American 4x100m relay team.
She is also to defend her 100m and 4x100m relay titles at the World Cup in Tokyo, which begins on September 13.
