Antonio made a three -time appearance for Jamaica at the Concacaf Gold Cup this summer and also appeared to West Ham under 21 in last season’s game in Boreham Wood last month.
It is understood ongoing discussions with Antonio can play a role in teaching and advice within West Ham College.
“Michail will always be the most popular and respected participant of the West Ham United family,” the statement said.
“As it has been since December, the club will continue to support him and assist him in his ongoing renovation, giving him access to training, equipment and medical care if needed.”
A £ 7m signing from the Nottingham Forest in 2015, Antonio is the West Ham Record Premier League record with 68 goals in the top 268 matches.
He was called Hammer of the year during the first West Ham season at London Stadium in 2016-17.
