After Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey caught an interception in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s win over the Ravens and Launched for the end zone.he was seen taunting a Steelers player by holding the ball at him.
It was not flagged. He may be fined.
After the game, Humphrey did his best to avoid making unnecessary contributions to the league’s fine fund.
“I want to make this very clear.Humphrey told reporters. When I was running with the football I saw (linebacker) David Ojabo, a great teammate of mine, and I was trying to pitch him the football. So some people brought it up to me that it sounded like a joke, or something. But I was trying to make it football and there was no sarcasm. I just want to make that very clear.”
Both can be true. Early on, it looked like he held the ball out to Ojabo. Then, he pulls it back before pointing it at Steelers receiver Calvin Austin III.
So, yes, it seems like a taunt. He should have flagged it. We will find out on Saturday if he has been fined or not.
