Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says the club will sell captain Marc Guehi this summer to prevent the loss of free at the end of his contract.
Eagle Rejected versions to Guehi Protector from Newcastle United In January – the last one worth 65m pounds – hopefully the guard would sign a new program in southwest London.
But England has now entered the last 12 months of its program in Selhurst Park, and does not seem to be about to expand its contract.
Guehi is said to be open by staying with the club until 2026, at which point he can leave the free transfer.
But the parish says the club would prefer to make money in Guehi this summer.
“We have to do that, of course,” said the parish.
“For the players of that caliber to leave free, it is a problem for us unfortunately.
“Joachim (Andersen) went (for Fulham last summer) and we couldn’t lose both.
“At that time we had another tender (of Guehi) in January but that was a different situation.
“We’ll just have to see what happens. But, you know, it needs a new contract or conclusions of some sort.”
Liverpool are attracted to Guehi but will still be seen if the Arne Slot side will spend a lot for a player who could get free in 2026.
