Cliftonville captain Kelsie Burrows has been handed a 16 -match ban on an attack on a match officer.
Northern Ireland’s international was shown a red card by referee Simon Bickerstaff after a 2-0 victory over Reds against Glentoran women on July 25.
The suspension is used immediately and handles all competitions but it is understood that the club is attractive against the decision, which means that burrows will be available to play on Friday’s game against Crusaders attackers.
Team coach Brendan Lynch has been handed a three -match ban from the same game by “entering the play field to face the match officer”.
The incident came after the final whistle of victory against Glentoran, which put Cliftonville in the mix on the table as they now sit six points for Linfield leaders and two games in hand.
Cliftonville, the Irish Football Association and NIFL have contacted the BBC Sport are in the opinion.
