The Blue Jackets have placed Justin Danforth on Injured Reserve.
Danforth was apparently injured against the Philadelphia Flyers on December 10th. In that game, he played 9:38 and had two blocks.
There is no indication when it will return.
The team has also removed James Malatesta from the roster. As of this writing, there’s no word on why, but Cleveland has only one place to choose from. Neither Columbus nor Cleveland have announced any roster moves.
The Cleveland Monsters are playing the Rochester Americans today, and Denton Mateychuk is missing from the game.
Defenseman Zach Werenski suffered an injury last night against Philly. He came back into the game but appeared hobbled. Could this be why Mateychuk is missing?
