Josh Allen will not play at Bill Permanent Opener

When the bills opened their preview slate against the jinn, the quarterback will not be in the field.

Head coach Sean McDermut told reporters at his Thursday press conference that Allen would rest on Saturday, starting with Mitchell Tribesky in the quarterback. But the other healthy start will play in the competition.

“Josh will not play this week. Starting, they will play or take a quarter game, and then It will flow from there“McDermut said.

McDermut noted that the advantage of the project is to have some time with the starting tribes, as it is the group with which it will play something with Allen during a regular season.

“That’s a big deal,” McDermut said. “Certainly we want to keep in mind about enthusiasm, keeping in mind any star – none of our players, we never want to see them injure them. Its benefit, stops enthusiasm, we keep it in a good place. He’s playing very well in the camp – you guys will get a chance to see.”

Allen has started every game for bills from the 2019 season. Truubsky appeared in nine games last season, mainly in mop -up work, though he played a majority of 18 matches against Patriots a week. He completed 19-26 passes for 179 yards with two touchdowns in 2024 and has no choice in 2024.

The Kick -off for the match -up between Buffalo and New York has been set for ET at 1pm on Saturday.
