The Association of Professional Tennis Players (PTPA) has criticized a clear inconsistency between the new doping cases.
Last month that launch a new scheme Offering players who face accusations of doping or corruption access to Pro Bono’s legal support.
This scheme was established jointly by former English double player Tara Moore, who served the absence of two years due to a doping ban which was later canceled.
Reacting to the news of Sinner’s prohibition, Moore posted on X: “Can someone explain how negotiations are possible?”
The PTPA statement reads: “System ‘is not a system. This is a club. The case statement per case should be, in fact, only includes adjusted agreements, unfair treatment, and inconsistent decisions.
“This is not just a different result for different players. This is a lack of transparency. Lack of processes. Lack of consistency …
“This bias is unacceptable for all athletes and shows deep disrespect for every sport and fans.”
Former Wimbledon Champion Simona Halep previously accused the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) of multiple standards – claims that were rejected loudly.
Halep was given a prohibition of four years for two separate doping violations in 2022 which was then reduced to nine months.
Halep is very important when announced Swiatek number two world will serve a ban on doping one month in November, posting on Instagram at that time: “I stand and ask myself, why are there big differences in care and assessment?
“I can’t find and I don’t think there might be a logical answer. It can only be a bad will from Itia, an organization that has done everything to destroy me regardless of evidence.”
