Williams was released in June

Former Manchester United striker Brandon Williams has confessed to a dangerous driver after being arrested for almost 100mph.

Williams, 24, was seen running at high speed and unusual in Audi A3 on A34 near Handforth, Cheshire, on August 20, 2023, according to Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

He admitted charges in Chester’s Chester court early driving and driving without a third party insurance, the CPS said.

Williams, who had a contract with Manchester United at the time, had a female passenger and was running up to 99mph in the 70mph area. The court listened to he was seen with a balloon in his mouth.

The CPS said the woman was seen shooting the movies at one time on her phone, adding that it was open to witnesses that the car was out of control and collided with the Blue Ford Fiesta around 18:17 BST before hitting the middle space.

There was severe damage to Williams’ car, damage to the Ford Fiesta and the missing wheel, and also the damage to the main space.

Williams, who was a loan to Ipswich Town at the time, breathed, but the test was bad.

The former Premier League football was treated at the hospital for his injuries and then taken to the Middlewich suite.

‘Driving a long time’

Andrew Madden, a senior prosecutor of the Crown prosecution service said driving of Williams that day “openly under what is expected for a capable and careful driver”.

The expert analysis showed he was running for 99mph before hitting the Ford Fiesta.

“Witnesses said Williams continued to accelerate and then broke faster. It was clear that he was not in control of the car,” said Mr Madden.

“Driving was real and the speed was too great. In the end, Williams lost control completely and hit.”

Mr Madden said it was fortunate that no one was seriously injured or killed.

Manchester United did not renew the player’s contract in June.

The former England player under the age of 21, who currently has no club, will be sentenced on May 9 in Chester’s Crown court.
