Joey Barton replied “innocent” for all 12 charges in Liverpool’s Crown court

Former football player Joey Barton has pleaded not guilty to sending several offensive comments to social media about Pundits Lucy Ward and Eni Aluko, and presenter Jeremy Vine.

The 42 -year -old stood in the dock in Liverpool’s Crown court and replied “innocent” for all 12 charges set to him.

The audio followed several rows of publications presented in early 2024 on the social media website X.

Former Manchester City and Newcastle United midfielder is accused of sending too much offensive communication for the purpose of causing trouble or anxiety.

A recent hearing follows his refusal through a video clip at Chester Resident Magistrate’s Court in January.
