Just a few hours before his crash, Lotus took an option on Donley next season to work for his signature with Jordan, Tille and Arrows.
However, the accident meant that it barely succumbed to the level that would have made a profitable contract.
Donley fought against the choice of Demon Hill, David Coltard, and Eddie Aryan in the junior ranks, and he was often defeated, but his career had to see growing while his own F -one dreams ended.
He added that the death of Earten Sena in Amula in 1994 was the moment when he knew that the time had come to stop his pursuit.
The couple was a friend after running in the junior category, and Sina, who stopped at Donley’s accident and visited them at the hospital, offered financial assistance in their recovery.
“Ireton made millions of his people and he was a three -time world champion, but he had no one to leave him.
“He had no children, had no wife. I thought, I died three times, I was still involved in the game I loved and was a young son at that time, so I just let him go.”
Donley is still involved in the game he loves, only in a different ability. He was a drivers steward for Formula 1, and still competing in national racing and runs his own Martin Donley Academy in Norfulk.
“Time is a healing and you adjust your lifestyle.
“I have three great children and I’m still involved in motorports. Life goes on.”
