Emma Raducanu: Briton Receives Wildcard Dubai Tennis Championship in Bid To End Losing Run

Emma Raducanu has taken the Wildcard card into the main lottery of the Dubai tennis championship, where she will try to end the worst defeat in her career.

The 22-year-old British lost the fourth match in a row for the first time when he was beaten in a direct set by Ekaterina Alexandrova In Qatar Open last week.

Open Champion US 2021 will join the mentor Jane O’Donoghue and Fitness coach Yutaka Nakamura, as is the case for the 1000 WTA event in Doha.

Raducanu received Wildcard entries into the main draw of Abu Dhabi Open and Qatar Open in February but lost in the first round on both occasions.

Alexandrova’s defeat followed the direct defeat of the former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrusova In Abu Dhabi.

World number 60 lost to Spain Cristina Buksa in the opening round of Singapore Open in January, after winning only one match in the defeat of the Australian Open by Iga Swiatek who marked the start of a successive without victory.

Because the Dubai tournament is the 1000 WTA event, Raducanu faces other difficult drawing prospects with 10 top players of the world who are all scheduled to play.

The lottery takes place on Saturday, before the main lottery begins on Sunday.
