Eagles injury report: AJ Brown practiced Friday, says he’s playing. Originally published NBC Sports Philadelphia
Eagles star receiver AJ Brown (knee) practiced Friday after being listed as a limited participant yesterday.
“I’m playing,” Brown said after practice.
The receiver said the knee injury won’t affect him in Sunday’s game at Washington.
Brown began the week as a limited participant with a “rest” designation on Wednesday but was limited again on Thursday with a “knee/rest” designation. So, presumably, he suffered a knee injury during Thursday’s practice.
On Friday morning, Eagles head coach Nick Siriani didn’t say much about the injury to his star receiver.
“Yeah, he was limited yesterday,” Siriani said. “We’ll see how he is today.”
Siriani was asked a few different ways about Brown’s injury and gave a different version of the same answer. About half an hour later, Brown was on the practice field.
Late against the Steelers, Brown suffered an ankle injury but has not been mentioned in any reports this week.
The other three players who were limited Thursday — Sidney Brown (concussion), Landon Dickerson (knee/rest) and Bryce Huff (wrist) — were practicing again Friday.
Huff opened his practice window earlier in the week after missing four games following wrist surgery. Huff has been wearing a large wrap/cast on his left hand all three days of practice. Siriani said Huff, like all players returning from injury, will need some version of a ramp-up period.
The Eagles will release game stats on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile in Washington, the Commanders waived Pro Bowl DT Jonathan Allen, who hasn’t played since Oct. 13. Allen’s practice window opened this week but he will not return against the Eagles.
