Diamond League Paris: George Mills Betters Sir Mo Farah when he leads the second fastest British 1500m


George Mills led the second fastest time in men at 1500 m when he finished third in Diamond League in Paris.

After beating the longtime British 5000 m record of Sir Mo Faraha In Oslo last weekMills, 26, again improved Farah to climb second place in the list of all time in the UK by three minutes.

Only Josh Kerr led the distance for the UK faster – at 3: 27.79 at the 2024 Olympics.

Azzedine Habz won the race in front of the home crowd, stating 3: 27.49 – the meeting record and the French national record – while Kenyan Phanuel Kipkosgei Koech set a world youth record in another race other than Diamond League.

Amy Hunt Great Britain is 22.45 at 200m per 200 MZ, ending for the American battle of Anavia, while former World Champion Dina Asher-Smith had to settle for sixth.

Georgia Hunter Bell, who was aiming for her second victory of the season, also finished sixth in 1500 m, when Ireland Sarah Healy was second with a personal top 3: 57.15, behind Kenyan Nelly Chepchirchir.

Diamond League will move to Eugene and Monaco next time before the 19th Series will visit the United Kingdom at a sold out London Athletic Meeting.

The finals will be held at Zurich 27 and 28. August – just over two weeks before the start of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
