The Saints have yet to officially rule out quarterback Derek Carr or Alvin Kamara for Monday night’s game, but things appear to be moving in that direction.
Carr and Kumara missed practice for the second consecutive day. Kerr is sidelined with a left hand injury he suffered in the team’s Week 14 win over the Giants and Kamara has a back injury that interim head coach Darren Rizzi said. may end in its season.
Rookie Spencer Rattler will start if Carr can’t go and Kendre Miller will be in line for more work at running back.
Wide receivers Bub Mainz (ankle) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (chest, illness) held him out of practice, making it four offensive players. Defensive end Chase Young (illness) has also been out both days this week.
Tight end Juwan Johnson (foot) and wide receiver Chris Olive (head) were limited participants. Olave returned to practice this week and will need to be activated from injured reserve to play on Monday.
