When Cornerback Darus Sally was drafted by the lions in 2013, his agent introduced him to the Hall of Fame Cornerback, Rod Woodson, who played most of his career with steellers. Woodson invited Sally to stay at his house, while they both worked together and talked about life in the NFL.
Now Sally is a steeller, and says he is anxious to work with young players the same way Woodson worked with him.
“Rod Woodson, when I was drafted, he was my guardian.” When I was drafted, I stayed in his house for about a month and a half, learned football.
Sally said Woodson taught him to take care of his body, XS and OS and get close to the game like a professional.
Slee said, “He was telling me that he was always healthy, staying away from the tub, basically be sure you could play.” “He taught me a lot of structures, the recognition of the route, and mostly he kept me on the track. In addition, he just coached me and taught me about life.”
The 34 -year -old Sally believes a large part of his role in Pittsburg will help improve the young defense back.
“This is the best part of my work.” This is one of the biggest role I want to take, he is guiding young boys, because a boy did this for me. . . . I’m always here to help you get better. You ask me about any DB in the game, I can tell you what their weakness is and what their strength is, because how much I see about DBS. It’s going to be fun.
It would be fun for the steellers if Sally could have such success in Philadelphia, where he won a super bowel color in his last game, which would provide an experience that he could share with young players in Pittsburg.
