Chile lost their Davis Cup qualification against Belgium when Cristian Garin refused to continue to play after being torn down by Zizou Bergs.

At the turn of their single match in Hasselt, a Bergs who celebrated and jumped hit his face with his right shoulder.

Bergs immediately apologized and Garin was cleaned to play after receiving medical attention.

Bergs was given a code violation for an unsportsmanship but Chile called for him to be disqualified.

Garin was given three violations of consecutive time because they refused to play, produced a game penalty to hand over Berg 6-3 4-6 7-5 wins and ensured that Chile won a tie 3-1.
