Count on Auston Matthews, Maple Leafs Pushing Sabers to Limit QEW High Point Battle

Friday has a solid slate of NHL action that should end your week with something to cheer you up heading into the weekend.

From the Leafs and Sabers to the Stars and Rangers, we have plenty of opportunities to hit it big and hopefully extend some of our amazing records like our 32-24 record in games and underdogs this season.

Bet: Maple Leafs Sabers Over 5.5 goals (-175), Auston Matthews goal anytime (+105)

The Sabers are on an 11-game losing streak heading into Friday but may have a chance to turn things around against the Leafs and their cold netminder.

Due to injuries, Toronto will have to roll with forward Matt Murray after starter Anthony Stolarz went down with an upper body injury. It will be Murray’s first NHL start in 628 days and during his time with the Leafs, he has put up good numbers with a 14-8-2 record and a 3.01 goals against average in 26 starts.

A long absence between the starting players may end up scoring more goals as it is normal for there to be a tie between the two teams. Toronto and Buffalo have combined for six goals or more in 22 of their last 26 contests including their last meeting earlier this week on Sunday.

The Sabers will likely start Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in net, who has a difficult history against the Buds with an 0-3-1 record and a 4.36 goals-against average in four career starts.

Leafs captain Auston Matthews is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed injury that will make him a questionable goal scorer despite scoring seven goals in the past six games against Buffalo.

He has gone without scoring goals in two consecutive games and he may go back to the top and the rest seems to wear him down after hearing about his permanent injury. The line for this is high at the moment but watch it for the first few minutes of the game and you should be able to bet it at the best price after five minutes of play.
