British number two Cameron Norrie defeated American Zachary Svajda in a straight set to reach the second round of Delray Beach Open.
Norrie, the winner of 2022, took 90 minutes to seal the 7-5 6-4 victory over World Number 169.
The players trades the serving pause in the first strict set played in hot and humid conditions in Florida.
A strong forehand on the line gave Norrie a second resting rest, with the 29 -year -old man comfortably holding the service to take the set.
With the same second level level in 4-4, Norrie could not convert five rest points in the eighth match of Mammoth before finally taking the sixth.
