Bournemouth Chase Bafode Diakite as PSG near Illia Zabarnyi

Bournemouth have re-opened talks to sign Lille Bafode defender Diakite as Illia Zabarnyi is approaching a 55m pound move to Paris St-Germain.

Cherries had previously walked away from a conversation with Lille over the asking price of 35m for a 24-year-old station.

But PSG have strongly agreed with a £ 55m fee for Ukraine International Zabarnyi – although negotiations are underway – Bournemouth have now returned to the Diakite market.

Sources close to Diakite say the former French player under the age of 21 has agreed on personal remarks on a five -year deal, but negotiations between clubs are underway on the price of asking.

Lille president Olivier Letang had previously been reluctant to sell Diakite but did not decide to leave the chief guard when asked on Friday afternoon, responding “possible but only one”.

Bournemouth are also interested in signing an additional central defender, and Dean Huijsen had joined Real Madrid in a 50m pound program earlier this summer, and are openly signing an additional striker to give Evanilson competition.

The south coastal club is also known as Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong and Sevilla’s back station.

PSG are hoping to finish the signing of Zabarnyi in the next 48 hours as they are eager to make him enter before the French season begins.

Both sides are sure to finish the program, despite the interest reported from Tottenham.

PSG are also reportedly signing Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier for 35m pounds – France’s Treble winners are on a contract to stand with the current number of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
