Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
The Napoli and Scotland player was one of the 30 nominees for the award, and the winner was announced on September 22.
The appointment is the recognition of the first shining campaign for McTominay and Napoli following his £ 25m move from Manchester United in 2024.
McTominay, 28, was crucial to the success of the Napoli crown, scoring 12 times in 34 league matches when he had been crowned Serie A year.
Paris St-Germain front Ousmane Dembele, 28, is the leading competitor for the award following his shining campaign for Luis Enrique, which led to the glory of the Champions League in Munich.
