Aston Villa have signed goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck from Barcelona on a two -year deal.
The 25 -year -old spent last season with Liga F champions but reached a mutual decision to end his contract.
Roebuck appeared only twice for Barca, making him first in December last year before he appeared further in February.
Before moving to Spain, Roebuck appeared 136 to Manchester City and won seven major titles – the Super League for the Women and the FA Cup and the League Cup three times.
“We are glad that Ellie will join our club,” Aston Villa Director of Women’s Football Women Marisa Ewers.
“He is an exciting addition to the team and is a player with a lot of experience who can help run our performance standards.”
Roebuck has 11 England hats but is not part of the squad in Euro 2025 in Switzerland.
