Connor McDavid circled the entire offensive zone before finding Zach Hyman on the far side to tie the game at 1-1.

Rutta gets his first goal of the season with a delayed penalty. Rutta took the puck in the zone and used an Oilers defenseman as a screen to beat Pickard.

Askarov led the Sharks in the second half, making 23 saves, including a highlight-reel performance.

Ekholm tied the game 2-2 with 17.3 left in the period after a strong push by the Oilers.
