Alex Yee: Olympic triathlon champion set for 2025 London marathon

Olympic and world triathlon champion from Great Britain Alex Yee will compete in the London Marathon in 2025.

Yee, 26, has won four Olympic medals in triathlon – including individual gold and bronze in the medley relay at Paris 2024.

The London-born athlete – who has previously run for Great Britain in track and cross country – will make his marathon debut on Sunday 27 April.

“Participating in the London Marathon was a no-brainer for me. It’s an event that has given me so many memories,” said the five-time winner of the Mini London Marathon.

“Taking part in a full marathon has always been an itch I’ve wanted to scratch and there’s no other place than London where I’d rather start this journey.”

Yee changed New Zealand’s Hayden Wilde in the closing stages in Paris to win his first Olympic title August, before winning the world championship title for the first time in October with third place in the final in Spain.
