Against Gout: Sprinter sets an Australian record at a higher international debut at Golden Spike

A teenager’s gout set a new Australian record with a 200m -winning men at his higher international debut at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava.

The 17-year-old staged 20.02 seconds at the highly expected first European meeting in the Czech Republic.

Sprinter drove past the Portuguese Cuban Reynier Men, who had to settle in second place after winning the last two Diamond League 200m races.

“I feel good. The new personal best, new national record in my first European race,” Gout Gout said.

“I feel no pressure. Because as soon as I step on this song, it is just me and what I have to do – my favorite thing and that needs to be run.

“I’m just going there and running and nothing stops me about it. (I have to) get a few more races in me and (a 20-second obstacle) will definitely fall.”

British Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake finished third with the top 20.60 seasons.

They were compared to the legendary eight -time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, and his 200m time in Ostrava was better than the world record of Jamaica, who ended up 20.28 in 2006 in 2006.

However, he will still run the legal period of less than 20 seconds against Gout, which Bolt reached four months before his 18th birthday with 19.93 on Bermuda.

The previous personal best goout was 20.04, which was held in December in December to break the silver Olympic medal Peter Norman, who was the longtime Australian record of Peter Norman.

After dominant meetings of young people, Gout stepped to a higher level.

It has Australian records under 16 in 100 m and 200 m, and last year won the national title under 20 m before securing a 200m silver medal at the World Championships under the age of 20.

After winning last year at 200m and 400 m at 2024 GPS Track & Field Championship in his native Queensland, Gout turned professional and signed sponsorship with Adidas.

He will continue to prepare for the September World Cup with the Monaco Diague Meeting in Stade Louis II 11.

This year’s World Championships will be held between 13 and 21 in Tokyo, Japan.
