Sunderland have agreed to a £ 10m deal to sign defender Omar Alderete from Spanish side Getafe and more than 900,000 pounds in addition.
The 28 -year -old move is under treatment and is expected to sign a four -year contract at the TAA Stadium.
The move adds to the left channel for Regis Le Bris’ manager as they look to strengthen, after getting the announcement back in the Premier League by winning the tournament’s final final in May.
As soon as the deal is over, Paragwai Alderete’s defender will be Sunderland’s 11th signing of the heat for a total of less than 150m pounds if all additions are included.
The new arrivals include former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, former Brighton winner Simon Adingra and a club record to sign Habib Diarra.
That is similar to the number of high -quality sales, with Jobe Bellingham joining Borussia Dortmund and Tom Watson moving to Brighton in a joint total in the 37m pounds.
Sunderland are starting their first Premier League campaign since the 2016-17 season on Saturday at West Ham’s home.
