Graeme Shields has resigned as president of the Queen of the Scottish tournament, showing “personal and concussion abuse”.
Glasgow’s side was pulled into a clash last season and they have failed to win their two opening games at the start of the campaign, Losing 3-1 at home against arbroath that was raised on Saturday.
Shields, who had held the president’s role since January 2024, has also resigned from the club’s committee.
He told the club’s website: “I have taken this decision after a lot of thinking, especially after getting a level of personal violence and myths and others associated with the club in recent months.
“After managing successfully completing our security certificate at the city field and the SFA club license inspection, the time is now the same.
“I wish Sean Crightton and all the players and staff at the club every success this season.”
The Queen’s park have said “Their club committee and the staff will now work together to manage the club following the departure of Graeme”.
