Wales women will play friendly against Australia on Saturday 25 October (14:00 BST), their first match since making their first game in Euro 2025.
The game at Cardiff City Stadium will mark the beginning of the 2027 World Cup qualifying preparations, which will take place from February to December 2026.
Rhian Wilkinson lost all three group games in Switzerland earlier this summer, but Jess Fishlock scored his country’s first goal in a major tournament in France’s defeat.
“Making history by achieving a big tournament for the first time has been a great experience, and a match against Australia will be the best way to celebrate our history players, but also look ahead for the future,” said Wilkinson.
“As we look at further developing against other top nations in the world, Australia is the best opponent for us.
