Sunderland have signed Chelsea’s young men Marc Guiu on loan for the 2025-26 season.
The Spaniard, now 19, moved to Stamford Bridge for 5m pounds from Barcelona in July 2024 and scored six goals in 16 matches for the Blues last season.
To describe himself as a “strong striker” and “natural goals”, Guiu said of his transfer to Sunderland: “This year is a great opportunity for me to help take on this team where it deserves to be, and I can’t wait to start.”
Sunderland received the promotion of the Premier League by beating Sheffield United in the Champions League final in May.
Guiu becomes the ninth sign of a black -season black cat.
Came through Barcelona to celebrate the Masia Academy and scored only 33 seconds after coming First to make the club in a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in October 2023.
After moving to England, he scored three goals against Shamrock Rovers in the conference league last season as the second Chelsea player to get a hat-trick.
