Vegas won the scoring chances battle 24-20 while also creating more dangerous scoring chances by a 10-7 margin. In the end, this was a low-key game, with the Golden Knights able to capitalize on their chances in the second half of the game.

The highlight of the heat map is that Vancouver once again struggled to get out in front of the net. The winning goal was scored right in front of the net, with Kevin Lankinen facing five dangerous shots. While the Canucks have done a good job of keeping the center of the ice clean, their work in front of their goalie still needs some work.
Instead of highlighting players with strong stats, it should be noted that four Vancouver skaters finished with an even strength xGF% below 8%. The four skaters were Linus Karlsson (1.88), Brock Boeser (4.88), Noah Juulsen (5.98) and Carson Soucy (7.94). While players having bad nights from a statistical standpoint is common, having four players all finish under 8% is unheard of. Hopefully these statistics are just one result; otherwise, the Canucks could be in big trouble going forward.
