Mirra Andreeva made history by becoming the youngest player to claim the 1000 WTA title after the 17 -year -old player won the Dubai Tennis Championship.
The Russia defeated Clara Tauson 7-6 (7-1) 6-1 and her victory means she will rise next week for the first 10 for the first time.
Andreeva defeated the winner of Grand Slam Marketa Vondrusova, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina on her journey to the final.
“I will set a goal for myself to be at the top 10 at the end of the year,” he said.
“Right at the end of February and I’ve made it, so this is something extraordinary for me.”
Tauson Denmark, 22, has risen 2-0 earlier but Andreeva immediately settled in his game to reply and equalize the match in 2-2.
There was a little to separate the two because the first set went to Tiebreak, where Andreeva won the first six points before Tauson sent a long return.
Andreeva then dominated the second set, stepping into the lead 5-1 before the return of the World Number 38 Tauson for a long time to seal the title for the teenager.
“I am very happy with the way I play,” Andreeva added. “I am nervous. I think you can see it during the match with all that double mistakes, some mistakes.
“So I am very happy that I can manage and face pressure. And now it feels extraordinary.
“This is something that I dream of and now my dream came true so I am fair, I can’t say -said now.”
