Fantasy Football Week 17 Rating: Flex (Half PPR)

Every season, the fantasy football playoffs feature plenty of surprises and league winners who seemingly come out of nowhere to lead their managers to championships—and destroy the dreams of those against them.

Could this year’s biggest FLEX surprise be Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears? Despite standing on a struggling offense, he has found his way to fantasy relevance in Weeks 15 and 16 — including back-to-back top-10 finishes in half-PPR scoring formats — over the past two weeks. 158 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns.

Next on the schedule is a matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars’ pushover defense, which is allowed. Second most Fantasy points per game for opposing RBs this season. Just last week, the Jags allowed a combined 30.6 fantasy points to Ameer Abdullah and Alexander Mattison for crying out loud. Regardless of Pollard’s health at this point, if Spears gets 10+ touches in Week 17, we’ll be looking at a big game.
